Ginny's Apples has fed many throughout the years since 1940. This delectable recipe, a family heirloom passed down from my grandmother, Eloise Mosley Young, to my beloved mother affectionately known as "Ginny," has been a source of joy and fond memories for as long as I can remember.

As a child, I can vividly remember the delight of savoring these "apples" during visits to my grandparents' home. Whether they were served for breakfast or retrieved from the fridge for dinner, a bowl of stewed apples was a constant presence on the family table.

As the years passed, my mother took up the tradition, especially during holidays and special family gatherings. Thanksgiving became synonymous with the eagerly anticipated aroma of simmering apples filling the air. My personal favorite was enjoying them with a freshly baked, warm biscuit.

Apple Pie Pancakes!

Ginny's Apples have become a staple for weekend breakfast and brunch in my home. We never eat plain pancakes anymore, just our Ginny's Apple Pie Pancakes. Top it off with some whipped cream and you don't even need syrup!

Just a dollop our two (depending on the amount of people) in your batter and you're ready for a pancake experience everyone will love!!

Ginny's stewed apples have such a nice flavor. You can taste this was made with love. The taste reminds me of apple sauce and apple jelly. I put it in my plain oatmeal ( the one you cook over the stove). It gave it so much sweetness and flavor. That's all you need to be satisfied. I'm so glad I purchased it. Love it!

DELICIOUS....

I stopped at the pop up at Ponce City Market. The cake cups are what drew me to the booth and they are DELICIOUSâ€¦.my family is obsessed! While visiting the booth I tried the stewed apples and bought a jar. They reminded me of the fried apples I had for breakfast as a childâ€¦.totally unexpected. Before I knew it I found myself going to buy more. Iâ€™ve had them cold spread on toast and warmed as a side.

Taste like apple pie! :-)

Reminds me of Apple Pie without the crust :-)
